MOHs Surgery

MOHs Surgery

Mohs surgery is done to remove basal cell and squamous cell cancers on the eyelid or around the eyes. You will be awake during the surgery. But your eye will be numbed so you can’t feel anything and your doctor can give you medicine to help you relax.

Your surgeon tries to remove only the tissue that has cancer by examining it under a microscope. Your surgeon will monitor you after the surgery to see how you are healing.

If you have any questions about your eyes or your vision, speak with your ophthalmologist. He or she is committed to protecting your sight.
