Anisocoria

Anisocoria

Anisocoria is when your pupils are different sizes. This is often a harmless condition due to a natural difference in pupil size.

ASometimes people have different size pupils as a symptom of another eye health problem. People who have nervous system disorders, stroke risk, or trauma to the eye may get anisocoria.

AAn ophthalmologist will examine the pupils to see how they react to light and dark. If you have other symptoms along with anisocoria, your ophthalmologist will do other tests as well.

AUsually anisocoria does not need to be treated, unless it is a symptom of another health problem.
